About Love by Your Paris

Your Paris is two indie-pop artists – Nick Babcock and Laila Kharouba – from Kingston and Toronto ON, respectively. The band hopes they are your new favourite pop duo. In fairness, they probably have a pretty good chance at being that. The band’s new song is called About Love and I got a chance to sit down with Your Paris – safely over the internet – to talk about their new album, and what it’s like to create music as a couple.

You Do You by Shark Week

2020 has been one hell of a year and it didn’t occur to me until today that I hadn’t heard a really fun song in a long time. No offense to Yukon Bonge or anything but I think it seems like the whole scope of the year has got us all taking everything pretty seriously. And so we should, there’s nothing that isn’t serious about everything going on all the time now. I’m just saying it was nice to find some new music that had the aura of a sense of humor. Like it’s not a comedy song, it’s hip-hop, poppy-hip-hop in this case and it’s just refreshing. I’m going for a walk in the sun with this song on repeat as soon as possible. Shark Week is a hip hop duo from Nova Scotia, Adam Taylor, and Jaxon Booth, the two describe their music as walking the line between punk hip-hop comedy and pop, and that they are leading a movement of young adult fans who aren’t quite ready to grow up. From a dude who has lucky charms for breakfast more often than I care to admit, I’m right behind you guys. This is You do You by Shark Week.
