CityFolk Festival, located at Lansdowne Park in Ottawa is a multi–celebration of music, dance and community featuring an eclectic mix of musical performances on various stages. Starting out in 2010, the festival changed to four day format in 2011, and later moved from Hog’s Back Park to Lansdowne Park in 2015. Over the years show highlights have included performances by Lindsay Buckingham, Great Big Sea, Emmylou Harris, Bush, Foster The People, Blue Rodeo, Van Morrison, David Byrne (Talking Heads) and Robert Plant. The tradition of top notch entertainment continued on night two as the TD stage welcomed Charlie Edward and Greta Van Fleet, while over on the Fasken stage, we caught up with Fred Eaglesmith.
Charlie Edward
Charlie Edward is 20 year old guitar sensation that was discovered on stage during Canadian Music Week. Now recording his own music heavily influenced by 70’s and 80’s hard rock laced with his own storylines, Charlie has set a goal in 2024 of just getting out and playing a lot.
