Drawn To Life By Jammer’s Waffle House
Today’s Song of The Day is Drawn To Life by Jammer’s Waffle House. Contrary to the popular belief, Jammer’s Waffle House is not a restaurant that serves up delicious breakfast, but an indie pop rock band from Mississauga, who happens to enjoy delicious breakfast. They’ve recently released a new music video for their single “Drawn To Life” and if you’re looking for some lighthearted fun to go with your Monday I definitely recommend checking it. The video is a narrative featuring the band dealing with a wild art class and the lead singer coping with the model mannequin seemingly coming to life. Just like their name, Jammer’s Waffle House’s music is a lot of fun, to me it’s very reminiscent of The Barenaked Ladies but with a modern edge to it. The band was founded in 2012 and has come a long way since. Their lead vocalist and guitarist Matt Hinojosa has said that at the beginning of his writing he was really into concepts & topics that don’t make for typical songs, and that’s how they got into songs about: breakfast, Ninjas and zombies!
