Outlaws – F. Scott & The Nighthawks (New Music Video)
“Outlaws is a rockin’ anthem meant to speak to the underdog in all of us, it’s a tip of our hats to the fire and desire we share for wild freedom and individuality.” – F.Scott Taylor
If you need a little Rock n’ Roll to kick off your weekend, we’ve got it right here! Check out F. Scott & The Nighthawks brand new music video for their single “Outlaws”. The single was originally released back on Friday the 13th in March, but it took a backseat to the unfolding of the public health crisis. The decision was made to pump the brakes and let some of the dust settle before serving up the official music video today, and it was well worth the wait! Not being able to go out to shows has been a huge bummer, and seeing video’s like this really make’s me nostalgic for it. The video, which was filmed and edited by Toronto’s Dylan Weller, really captures and reminds me of the energy and magic that Rock N’ Roll put’s in the air. The band has been described as a “band of barn burning brothers existing at the crossroads of outlaw country, Americana, punk rock, and good old-fashioned rock n’ roll” and this video encapsulates all of that. The video mixes shots of the band performing the rockin’ tune with shots of the band hanging out, and you can feel the good times being had right through the screen, you can tell this is more than just a band, but a close knit group of brothers coming together to create something real. I know I’m repeating myself but god damn does this video make me want to get out to a live show! Cheers with some friends, stomp my feet around and let music take the night away. But this will have to do for now! Thank you to Dylan and the band for capturing the moment so well.
“Outlaws” is the first single off the bands upcoming 13-song debut album, titled “Hold Onto Your Heart”. Recorded and engineered by Paul Phelan (Aaron Goldstein’s Baldwin Street Sound studio, Toronto), mixed and produced by Clifton David Broadbridge (El Mocambo Studio B, Toronto) and mastered by Pete Lyman (Infrasonic Sound, Nashville). After hearing this one, we can’t wait for the whole album to be released and will let you know when it is!
