Victoria Anthony Releases New Music Video for “Breathe Underwater” + Hits Massive Milestones On Youtube & Spotify

Victoria Anthony is a 15 year old Canadian pop singer and right now she’s taking the world by storm! Less than a month ago, Victoria released her debut album “Real Life” and it’s already surpassed 1 million streams on Spotify. Her music video for the title track has also just passed 1.1 million views on Youtube, solidifying Anthony’s status as one of the most listened to and watched independent recording artists in Canada right now. From songwriting, pre-production, recording, mixing, and mastering, Victoria was attentive to every detail on “Real Life”, including having played an active role in her branding, on the artistic and visual aesthetics related to everything from the album artwork and singles covers, to conceptualizing her music videos. Pretty impressive for just 15 hey?

Today Anthony dropped the 4th video from the album, “Breathe Underwater”, which she co-directed. There is an understated sense of melancholy flowing throughout the song but assures the listener that nothing is impossible with the right mindset.

“When I came up with the concept for the video I knew I wanted to co-direct it too,” said Anthony. “I had a talented crew of people working with me to help bring my vision to life. The whole process from start to finish was an amazing learning experience”. Click below to be one of the first to give it watch before this one hits a million too!

On her social media Anthony said “this video was exciting, hectic, and so much fun to create…still can’t believe we pulled it together in a week! so grateful to everyone who worked on this project! special shout-out to my incredible co-director Brock Newman for teaching me how to direct a freaking music video.” It’s incredibly uplifting to watch Anthony’s rise to stardom, she proves that if you put the hard work in and stick to your vision, neither your age nor this crazy pandemic are enough to stop you!

Anthony wants her music to be a reminder to stay present, to enjoy the small things in life, and to find the beauty in the chaos—the good in the bad. “My lyrics are part of a real life, my life, no filters or filler – only truth about my own experiences which are both positive and negative but always expressed through an optimistic lens. The world already has too many pressures, so I want my music to feel like a breather, and hopefully remind listeners to live in the moment”.

“I’m so grateful and overwhelmed by the support for my debut album”, said Anthony. “It’s been a little surreal”.
