New Brunswick’s Dan Verner Releases New Single “45 Floor” With Producer Nick Fowler (FWLR)

“45 Floor” is Dan Verner’s latest single in a multi-year collab project with electronic producer Nick Fowler (aka ‘FWLR’). It comes on the heels of Dan Verner’s recent Publishing deal with Sound of Pop (Nova Scotia, Canada). This highly anticipated release is Dan’s biggest release yet, and the first of 2021. Verner’s music has it’s own wonderfully distinct flavour of Canadian pop, and if you’ve listened to his past music you know there’s a few things you can expect from his releases, well crafted structures, thought provoking lyrics and beautifully produced soundscapes, mixing electronic and pop sounds. “45 Floor” is certainly no exception, and I have a feeling this song is going to blow up. The collabs between Dan Verner and FWLR have been getting lots of love (for good reason) and in 2020, these releases held three semi-final spots in the 2020 International Songwriting Competition. Born in Cape Breton, New Brunswick’s Dan Verner has music in his soul. Since a young age, he has been crafting pop-alternative music with piano and guitar as the foundation. He wrote and co-
produced his debut album “From the Fold” (2017) which garnered attention across Atlantic Canada for its catchy hooks and lush production. Since then, he has been featured in the top 50 for CBC Searchlight competition in 2018 and also on radio stations across Canada. His latest project, a series of single releases in late 2019 and 2020 – co-written and produced with New Brunswick’s Nick Fowler (“FWLR”) showcases crisp and punchy production with a singer-songwriter flare. In December of 2020, Dan signed a publishing deal with Sound of Pop, an ECMA award-winning music publishing & master/sync representation company based in Nova Scotia, Canada. Sound of Pop’s Tim Hardy had this to say about Dan:
