The Kingston Humane Society recently celebrated its 140th Anniversary. Since it was established in 1884, KHS estimates it has saved over 100,000 animals. Committed to advocating for and improving the lives of animals within the Kingston area, the KingstonHumane Society is supported solely by the community and operates without government assistance.To celebrate the occasion of the 140th, KHS threw a party in downtown Kingston at SpringerMarket Square inviting local performers, Miss Emily and The Wilderness.Our colleagues, ThePhoto Roadies caught up with the Miss Emily part of the show.Miss Emily is a celebrated local blues singer that has blazed a successful path over the years winning the Maple Blues triple–crown in awards for Female Vocalist, New Artist, and SapphireVideo of the Year. Miss Emily was also nominated for a Juno Award in 2022 for her album“Live atThe Isabel”. Recently, Miss Emily has sharing the stage with Canadian blues legends, The Powder BluesBand on select dates.
