B00STED SHOWCASES NEW ERA OF MUSIC CREATION WITH SELFISH EP RELEASE
Emerging Vancouver artist B00sted proves himself as the next artist to watch in Canada’s newest generation of creators with the release of his brand new EP Selfish via 604 Records. The collection showcases B00sted’s versatility as an artist while still maintaining his trademark R&B-pop flair.
Introducing a new feel to his music last fall with the release of “Remedy,” B00sted stepped into a new era of music creation. He continued to push the envelope with his fusion of hip-hop, pop, R&B, and sprinkles of alternative verve with recent releases such as “She Wanna,” “Lose Anything,” and his recent collaboration with Myles Lloyd, “Used To Love You.” The six track EP features two new originals, including the ultra vibey title track “Selfish,” and laid back R&B-rap track “Intoxicated.”
“‘Selfish’ takes you into the mind of someone involved in a complicated relationship. Through the highs and lows, and everything in between,” B00sted shares on the EP. “I try and capture certain moments I’ve experienced in my life and express these feelings into my sound that anybody can enjoy. I have a very pop, hip-hop, alternative type approach on a lot of this project, but kept it very consistent from start to finish.”
Starting out with a DIY mind set, leading to over three million views on YouTube alone, B00sted has garnered over 7 million catalog streams. Having recently signed to 604 Records, B00sted is proving to be leading the pack in the next generation of artists to watch. Even from a young age, Keegan Jaeckel felt a deep connection to music — he just didn’t know where it may take him. Now, going by the pseudonym B00sted, the 21-year-old pop/rap artist is proving he’s here to stay, making waves across the industry, receiving nods from the likes to Complex, EARMILK, Rolling Hype, Exclaim and more.
