Derev Live @ Supermarket

Derev is a prog rock band based in Toronto, and they blew the roof of Supermarket! Asides for Dream Theatre I’d say this was my favourite prog rock performance I’ve seen in 2025, but that’s pretty hard to compete with ha! This show was such a great example of what prog should look like, the fans were super invested in the technical prowess of the artists on stage, not just because of how great their musicianship was but because of how fun they made it to watch. Derev didn’t just melt audience faces with incredible guitar solos, they pulled out keytar solos, system of a down and limp bizkit covers, and made sure to give the audience as much energy as they were recieving. If you ever get the chance to check out Derev, I definitely recommend it, they just keep get getting better every time I see them so I can imagine what their next gig is going to look and sound like!
