Canadian rock veterans 54.40 proved once again why they’ve remained one of
the country’s most enduring live acts, delivering a hit-filled performance at Hard Rock Live Ottawa that balanced nostalgia with musicianship and infectious energy. Supported
by the ever-powerful Sass Jordan, the evening was a celebration of Canadian
rock at its finest.

Sass Jordan opened with “Damaged” and move into “If Your Gonna Love Me” from
her 2017 album Racine: Revisited. With her charismatic stage presence keeping the crowd energy level high and finishing off her set with “High Road Easy”, “Make Me a Believer” and “So Hard”.

54-40’s setlist drew heavily from the band’s extensive catalogue, with crowd favourites including “Baby Ran,” “I Go Blind,” “One Day in Your Life,” “She-La, “Since When,” and the inevitable singalong closer, “Ocean Pearl.” Each song was met with enthusiastic applause, proving these Canadian classics have lost none of their appeal.

Hard Rock Live continues to impress as one of Ottawa’s premier concert
venues. Excellent sightlines, crisp acoustics and comfortable seating allowed every
nuance of the performance to shine, while the enthusiastic audience sang along to nearly
every chorus.

After more than four decades together, 54.40 continue to perform with passion and authenticity. Their catalogue remains one of the strongest in Canadian rock, and their live show is a reminder that great songs never go out of style. It was an evening filled with memorable performances, timeless hits, and the unmistakable sound of one of Canada’s finest bands still operating at
a remarkably high level.
