Dischordia by The Motorleague – Dropout Radio Song Of The Day

Todays Song of The Day is Dischordia by The Mortoleague. Evolution has been a constant in the world of Moncton, New Brunswick band The Motorleague. From their punk-inspired beginnings through the more radio-friendly territory, the band finds itself – and its sound – truly coming into its own with their new single “Dischordia.” The track was produced by Juno Award winner Eric Ratz and features a guest appearance by Brian Byrne, formerly of I Mother Earth, sharing lead vocal duties.
Brian Byrne has said that “The Motorleague is the greatest rock band no one has heard enough of and everyone should know,” And that his faith in rock ’n’ roll is restored every time The Motorleague puts out new music. The band has said that sound-wise, they were like that person at a restaurant who takes forever with a menu. But they had learned a lot from Eric and one thing that really stuck with them was his suggestion that they really needed to hone in on their style. And they feel that with Dischordia, they did exactly that.
Previous to this release The Motorleague has racked up over 2 million spotify streams, has toured with Godsmack and Dropkick Murphys and shared a stage with Canadian royalty like Our Lady Peace, Billy Talent & Finger Eleven. But despite their success so far, The Motorleague remains one of Canada’s best-kept secrets. “Dischordia” may serve as the turning point in giving the band the mainstream recognition they deserve.
Every weekday at 9, 12, 3 & 7 ET we’re showcasing some of Canada’s best independent music, from artists of all genres and all across the country.
