Grammy Award Winning Artist Alex Cuba Announces Triple Christmas Single Release, “Para Amarnos Es La Navidad”

From an artist raised without the tradition of Christmas, Cuban-Canadian singer-songwriter, Alex Cuba, presents an invigorating holiday single delivered in three different ways – in Spanish, Spanish and English, and a Spanish and Portuguese duet with Latin Grammy nominated Brazilian artist, Roberta Campos. In three similar yet unique versions, “Para Amarnos Es La Navidad”, “Para Nos Amarmos No Natal”, and“Christmas Made For Love”bring a delicate and sweet dose of holiday romanticism to Cuba’s soulful repertoire in celebration of the loving spirit of the season. An unmistakable holiday song free from genre and traditional Christmas sounds, Cuba ties retro elements with a Latin flare behind his delicately soft vocal delivery. Wrapped together on a three single EP, Cuba’s trio of versions of his latest single offer something for everyone in a variety of languages.

The singles mark Cuba’s third release of 2023, following his genre-bending ninth studio album, “El Swing Que Yo Tengo”, and duet with his father and twin brother on “Tiene Sabor”. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of Cuba’s debut album, “Humo De Tabaco”, which is now available for purchase as a deluxe anniversary vinyl edition with four bonus tracks and a collectable bonus digital content bundle. As the writer, performer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist on all of his works, Cuba is no stranger to collaboration, performing duets with well known megastars and remarkably talented emerging artists including Omara Portundo, Lila Downs, Nelly Furtado, and David Myles. On the Spanish-Portuguese version of “Para Amarnos Es La Navidad” titled, “Para Nos Amarmos No Natal”, Cuba teams up with celebrated Brazilian artist and Latin Grammy nominee, Roberta Campos. Calling his collaborator “a gifted singer”, Cuba also notes that Campos possesses “one of the most beautiful voices I’ve had the pleasure to duet with”.
Rhythmic, joyful, and shimmering with Cuba’s Soul-stirring flare, “Para Aramanos Es La Navidad” is the inaugural Christmas launch from the artist, taking his universally understood language of musical romanticism into the holiday season. “…el amor jamás se puede envolver en un papel” (…love can never be wrapped in paper) is the sentiment Cuba gently fittingly conveys, from an artist who himself was married in Cuba on Christmas Day.
