Elliott BROOD Releases New Album WITH Listening-Party-Livestream
Elliott BROOD LIVESTREAM RELEASE EVENT FOR NEW ALBUM ‘KEEPER’
Elliott Brood is a Canadian three-piece, alternative-country band formed in 2002 in Toronto, consisting of Mark Sasso, Casey Laforet, Stephen Pitkin. The band’s style has been described as ‘frontier rock’ – I like that. On September 18 the band hosted a livestream release party for their new album Keeper.
Keeper is a great album through and through, it’s the new one from Elliot Brood and I would recommend giving it a listen for sure. The band describes the album as “an album about sticking with those you love, and showing gratitude for those who stick with you.”, a sentiment I think works well in any time, but particularly well in a year, the includes murder hornets, a global pandemic and whatever is happening in The States.
The album is chalked full of thoughtful lyrics, soft voices and the kind of string-driven music one might listen to when riding a boxcar across the country in search of something greater than oneself.
“…this is an album about sticking with those you love, and showing gratitude for those who stick with you. Come for the raw and ragged roots rock, stay for the countrified psychedelic haze and vintage guitar tones: Keeper is a collection of songs that’ll go the distance.”
The band released the new album with the help of a livestream listening party with fans. If you missed it, fear not, you can watch it below!
