Mike “Beard Guy” Taylor Memorial Tribute Will Take Place on Sunday

Sunday, January 13th from 4:30 – 7:30 a benefit memorial will be held for Mike “Beard Guy” Taylor. The memorial is taking place in Walk Off The Earth’s home town of Burlington, On. at the Civic Centre. Members of Walk Off The Earth, Barenaked Ladies, USS, Scott Helman, Monster Truck, Darenots & Saint Alvia will be performing acoustically. Fans are asked to bring a candle and bundle up.
Mike, the keyboardist and vocalist for the indie pop group, passed away on December 29th of what the band called natural causes.
Here are a few excerpts from the statement made by Mike’s band members “Mike had a love for life that was unmatched and a willingness to give that went beyond ordinary means,” and “Our deepest sympathies are with his two children, whom he adored more than anything else in the world.”
