Sumo Cyco Live @ El Mocambo’s (Photoset) + New Single Sun Eater
Sumo Cyco performing at El Mocambo during the second night of Lemmon Stage’s Launch Series programming. Sharing headlining status for the event, Lemmon Stage alumni Sumo Cyco, who went on to release two full-length albums and several millions of views via their self-produced/directed, grindhouse-inspired cinematic music videos. Signed by Napalm Records, they have won awards such as “Best Female-Fronted” band at the Toronto Independent Music Awards, top finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, Indie Week Canada, and “Best of the Fest” at Indie Week Ireland. The alt-metal/heavy rock crossover stars brought their warped, dystopian-like world of Cyco City to the Lemmon Stage and it after so long without live music, it was incredible to see them bring all that energy to the stage.
