Junestone @ Wintersong Music Festival (Photoset)

We had the opportunity to see Junesong performing live at Latcham Hall in Whitchurch-Stouffville for Wintersong Music Festival and I was blown away by the performance. This was our first time visiting Wintersong Music Festival, and I have to be honest I had no idea what to expect. The festival features over 100 artists featured at venues across the city. I’ve been filming Canadian Music Week and Indie Week for years in Toronto, and if you’ve ever been Wintersong is a similar concept, except way more intimate and personal. We arrived at Latcham Hall, at the music coming out of it was immediately intriguing. I don’t know if I know another band quite like Junestone, so to walk in and see what was happening on stage was a very exciting moment! Their music is very jazzy, and quite complex without an ounce of snobbery, a mix that’s sometimes hard to find. Overtop of all these wonderfully innovative jazz filled runs and rythms, is the beautiful voice of their lead singer Olivia Brown, who really ties everything together to make for a unique and intriguing listen. I highly recommend seeing Junestone live if you ever get the chance! Below are some photos of the night as well as some of their music!
