Scarlet Sins, the Canadian all-female hard rock band founded in 2004 by guitarist Cristina Canas and lead vocalist Sylvia Niewinski, has been captivating audiences with their heavy riffs, catchy choruses, and powerful vocals. Tanya Nicklaus (bass) and Elie Bertrand (drums) later joined the band and together they opened for national acts such as Motley Crue, Buckcherry, Anvil, and April Wine.
Their live shows are a force to be reckoned with, showcasing the band’s raw talent and earning them critical acclaim.

In 2008, Scarlet Sins released their eponymous debut album, which was produced, recorded and mixed by Richard Chycki (Rush, Aerosmith, Pink).

With this album, Scarlet Sins appeared on the shortlist for the 51st Grammy Awards four times: Best Rock Album, Best Original Rock Song for Drown, and twice under Best Hard Rock Performance for Drown and Strangelove.

After disbanding in 2009, Scarlet Sins reunited in 2019, leaving fans wanting more, and they are set to release new music in 2023.

Scarlet Sins is not just a band, but a symbol of female empowerment in the music industry, breaking barriers and shattering stereotypes with their incredible talent. They continue to inspire a new generation of female musicians to follow in their footsteps.
