Logan Richard and Moira & Claire Team Up For New Single “Unrequited Love Blues”
Logan Richard and Moira & Claire have teamed up for their latest single “Unrequited Love Blues”.
“Unrequited Love Blues” is my new duet with Moira & Claire, about two people who love each other, but don’t know that the other person feels the way that they do. We were inspired by the tragic idea of unrequited love, that it will never be anything more. Producer Colin Buchanan transformed the soft acoustic demo into a pop bop. The subject matter is rather bleak and sad, but this song makes me feel the opposite – I can’t help but groove along as I listen.” – Logan Richard
As a three-time Music PEI Award winner and ECMA nominee, Prince Edward Island-born songwriter, guitarist, and producer Logan Richard has been widely recognized for his musical contributions, including his nomination for 2020’s Music PEI SOCAN Songwriter of the Year, and for his achievement in winning the New Artist of the Year in the same cycle. Logan is becoming a sought-after session and live guitar player, and his career continues to show signs of remarkable growth, spanning genres of Blues, Pop, R&B, and Indie Rock.
“Unrequited Love Blues is a very special song for us. Not only is it our first collaboration with another artist, but we’ve looked up to Logan for many years. His song “Lover Again” has been a favorite of ours for a long while – we even posted a cover on our Instagram in 2019. He had commented that it was the “first time [he had] ever heard someone sing one of [his] songs” so it’s come full circle.” – Moira & Claire
