MIINA Shares New Single “Live My Life on Holiday” & Announces Debut Album
Dream-pop artist MIINA has announced her debut full-length album, Where The Light Goes, arriving independently on March 20, 2026. Alongside the album announcement, she shares the latest single, the irresistibly catchy “Live My Life on Holiday.”
The new track explores the ease of tuning out and choosing comfort over personal autonomy, offering a spotlight on wasted potential and the quiet loss that occurs when we grow numb to the world around us. Where The Light Goes features production from an all-star team including Howard Redekopp (Tegan and Sara, Mother Mother), Erik P.H. Nielsen (City and Colour) and Gus Van Go (The Beaches, Metric), and will also include the previously released singles, “Celebration” and “Bridge on Fire”.
“My new single came spilling out of me one day as I reflected on how easy it is to go numb to the world around us,” shares MIINA. “What began with a simple, playful chord progression in the verse soon cracked open into a big, cinematic chorus—a deliberate contrast meant to highlight how complicated we are and how much time we waste on small, unimportant battles. The song pushes back against the daily grind that asks us to hand over our inner fire for the illusion of trendy happiness and temporary escapes. The choir at the end emerged in the quiet, sleepless hours of the night, as I rattled around in my own mind, layering voice upon voice into my demo until my brain turned to jelly.”
Working with Redekopp and Nielsen on the track embodied a free-spirited ease in the studio. Together, they created a space where every idea had room to breathe, chasing the right tones on keys and guitars and letting a song about shedding inhibitions guide the process in real time.
Stay tuned for a brand new video and official tour announcement, both coming later this month.
