Canadian Music Week: Jesse’s Top Picks

Canadian Music Week: Jesse’s Top Picks

7 nights, 800 bands and over 40 venues. Now in it’s 36th year, Canadian Music Week is always quite the party. We’re excited to have access to cover this festival, but even with access, it seems to be impossible to make it to see all the artists you’d want to without cloning yourself a few times. Every night of the week there’s some pretty tough choices, but here’s my top picks for the week.

WEDNESDAY

Sun K, Beams & A Fellow Ship @ Lee’s Palace

Slow, The Dirty Nil, Single Mothers @ The Phoenix

THURSDAY

The Nursery, Marlon Chaplin & The Mooks @ Supermarket

Julian Taylor Band, Midnight Shine & Big City Lights @ Lees Palace

T. Thomason, The Do Good Badlies & F. Scott & The Nighthawks @ Dakota Tavern

FRIDAY

Romes, Fake Shark & Whale & The Wolf @ The Rivoli

Crown Lands & Monster Truck @ The Phoenix

The Beaches, Goodbye Honolulu & Taylor Know @ Opera House

SATURDAY

Sam Coffey & The Iron Lungs, The Rural Alberta Advantage & Said The Whale @ The Phoenix

Attica Riots, Northern Pikes & Ready The Prince @ The Horseshoe Tavern

SUNDAY
