July Talk w. Julianna Riolino Live From Touch X Tour at Bronson Centre
July Talk – Bronson Centre Ottawa – March 25

July Talk is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the release of Touch with a tour across Canada –
and Ottawa fans showed up in force. One of Canada’s best alt-rock bands opened the evening
with “Picturing Love” to a sold-out crowd at the Bronson Centre. The first night sold out so quickly that a second show had to be added, a testament to the band’s enduring popularity and electric live reputation.
July Talk’s performances are known for their theatrical edge, with reviewers often highlighting the striking contrast between Leah Fay’s angelic vocals and commanding stage presence and Peter Dreimanis’ signature gravel-soaked delivery. That dynamic was front and centre from the opening moments and set the tone for an unforgettable night.
Opening the show, Julianna Riolino took to the stage with her tender vocals, performing “Full Moon” from her sophomore album Echoes in the Dust. A naturally gifted performer with strong stage presence, Riolino drew favourable comparisons to Linda Ronstadt, captivating the early crowd and setting a warm, intimate tone before the headliners took over. Julianna and the band are headed to Europe in July to continue the tour.
The July Talk Touch X Tour wraps up with a sold out show at History in Toronto on March 31st.
