Tegan and Sara “I know I’m Not the Only One” Music Video

Tegan and Sara are a Canadian indie pop band formed in 1998 in Calgary, Alberta, composed of identical twin sisters Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin. The sisters are immensely talented and have collaborated with international talents such as Tiësto, All Time Low, and Matthew Dear. The pair also wrote and performed the incredibly catchy(?) Theme song to The Lego Movie Everything is Awesome – and they have a new video out. 

Tegan and Sara released their latest album Hey, I’m Just Like You, all the way back in 2019 when I wasn’t scared of the pizza guy and masks were just for fun. Like everything else it would appear that the virus caused some delays in the production process. Lucky enough for me, as I was wondering what I would post about today when I woke up. The two have just released a new video for their song I Know I’m Not The Only One. 

Tegan and Sara’s new video takes me back to a time before COVID-19, before the world was a total mess and was only a partial mess. A time when George Bush seemed like the worst president possible and John Stewart seemed like the only real choice for hilarious fake-news commentary. The fun part about Tegan and Sara’s video for I Know I’m Not The Only One, is counting how many 90’s band t-shirts I used to own. I think I still have that AFI shirt in a box somewhere.
