Mountain Head Live From The Boathouse
2020 has been a tough year for live bands, but Mountain Head found an ingenious way to keep the music alive, and you can now watch the whole performance from the comfort of your couch. You’ve heard of drive-in concerts, but have you ever heard of a boat in concert? On September 12th Mountain Head put on a charity boat-in show at a boathouse in Lake Kashwakamak, Ontario and if you didn’t happen to be one of the lucky boaters who had the opportunity to watch this stunning psychedelic rock performance in person, it’s now live in it’s entirety on Youtube! The band performed Circuits, Dedicated, Booter Gets A Beer, Say No More, Let It Out as well as covers of Shimmy Shimmy Ya by Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Sure Is Nice by Natural Child. Mountain Head is a incredibly creative act, not only in their music but in they way they create content, and this is a perfect example. If you’re not already following their socials, you’re definitely missing out!
If you’ve seen Mountain Head perform live before, you already know about the magical musical atmosphere that they deliver time after time, and if you haven’t seen them already, you’re in for a treat (warning, their songs might be stuck in your head for the next few days…) So if you’re missing live music as much as I am right now, set a half hour aside, grab a drink and get this up on your big screen, it should help with some of those live music withdrawals. Thanks to Mountain Head for keeping the music alive, sharing this performance with the world, and for allowing me to see a lake full of boats honking and yelling for an encore for the first time in my life!
